The livelihood survey was undertaken over a 12-month period in 2017. Thirty-three trained interviewers administered the surveys to households in 33 Village Assemblies – 11 from each region. The questionnaire covered: Household demographics, including Men (15 years+), Women (15-49 years), Children. In households that included young children (59 months or less), weight and height were measured for the children and their mothers. (Attachment 1 is a list of the questions.) Questions covered livelihood activity, incomes, cocoa farming practices, land ownership, water sources, water storage and availability, hygiene and sanitation practice, diet, food security, health care utilisation, chronic health conditions, history of morbidity/illnesses and level of education.
